One day of free financial advice down, another to go!

On January 12, certified financial planners from the National Association of Personal Finance Advisors (NAPFA) answered more than 250 financial questions for FREE as part of Kiplinger’s 11th annual Jump-Start Your Retirement Plan Days. And the advice doesn’t stop there. NAPFA advisors will be available again all day on January 17, from 9 a.m. ET to 6 p.m. ET to answer more financial and retirement questions.

During the first round of chats, topics ranged from preparing for retirement, to saving for college, to learning the basics of budgeting and investing. Questions came from readers at all stages of their financial lives, too. Many retirees asked about how to best make their savings last, while those approaching the end of their working lives wanted to know more about Roth IRAs vs. 401(k)s, and when they should tap Social Security. Married couples sought advice about how to manage their finances as newlyweds, and recent college graduates asked about the best way to set budgets and start saving. To view more questions, see the transcript from the January 12 live chat.

On January 17, you can ask more questions (or learn from others' queries) on Kiplinger's Web site or Facebook page, or by calling 888-919-2345. Twitter users can ask questions using the #JumpStartRetire hashtag.

NAPFA's more than 2,400 members are highly trained fee-only financial planners.
